For those who enjoy the classroom, and the ability to create in-person collaboration, we offer a fully on-campus experience. If you prefer taking some courses on campus and others online, we offer a blended experience. Finally, if your choice is to take your courses online, you have that option as well.
Completing a B.S. in Business Administration degree is closer than you think. Saint Mary's University of Minnesota recognizes your past experiences with a generous transfer credit policy. We accept college-level credits from regionally accredited colleges or universities (grades of C or better), business and industry training, non-regionally accredited vocational or technical colleges or institutes, military education (ACE), and standardized examinations (CLEP, DSST). Earn credit for your life and work experience through our prior learning assessment (PLA) process. Submit your unofficial transcripts or a degree audit report and a transfer counselor will create a preliminary degree plan for you with a transfer of credit estimate. Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program are expected to be able to do the following:
- Examine business operation practices in a contemporary global economy.
- Apply financial principles to business decisions and projects.
- Analyze the economic forces that influence business operations.
- Demonstrate management and leadership skills required in contemporary business organizations.
- Develop marketing strategies required for business organizations.
- Interpret the ethical and legal perspectives and forces that impact contemporary business operations.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing as a business professional.
- Work effectively with diverse populations in various business contexts.
- Develop strategies for learning new skills and updating knowledge needed to be an effective business leader.
This program is designed with working, adult learners in mind, with classes available evenings at the Minneapolis, Apple Valley, and Rochester campuses. The program is also offered fully online.
You'll finish your degree studying key business administration concepts such as accounting and finance, business law, leadership and management, marketing, and business communications. You also have the option of adding a specialization in either management or operations and technology management.
