Advance Your Career in Education
Enroll in the Master of Arts in Education program at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota and you'll learn from top-notch educators who have a wealth of classroom experience to share. Your learning journey can include one of three specializations- curriculum and instruction, mental health, or culturally responsive teaching. Choosing a specialty allows you to choose a path that most interests you!
Curriculum and Instruction Specialization
While Saint Mary's M.A. in Education program is intended to provide teachers with in-depth knowledge in a particular area of specialty, all learners will be challenged through core courses centered around curriculum and instruction. You will discover new ways to integrate technology to enhance your teaching, make practical changes to your classroom instruction that align with current educational theory, and apply modern knowledge in child growth and development to improve your classroom instruction. The full M.A. in Education program, including your specialization, can be completed in 2 years.
Graduates of this program work with learners in a variety of educational settings. Although most are K-12 classroom teachers, some teach within adult education programs, in early childhood settings, or in juvenile corrections and support programs that are classroom-based. This program does not lead to teacher licensure.
